ROMA - Qualcuno storcerà il naso, altri si domanderanno sdegnati, "E dove sono i Deep Purple?". Che piaccia o no, l'assolo con chitarra di Jimmy Page in Stairway to Heaven, il leggendario brano dei Led Zeppelin del 1971, resta il più amato di tutti i tempi. Lo era nelle preferenze dei lettori di Repubblica.it alla fine del '99 (migliore canzone del secolo) e lo è anche oggi per un campione di circa duemila fan sfegatati del rock, molti dei quali chitarristi professionisti, interpellati dalla rivista inglese Total Guitar per un sondaggio appunto sul migliore assolo rock.
